Selmaville Finishes Second at Regionals

The Selmaville Rocket boy's and girl's track team both had strong

showings at the SIJHSAA Region 6 track meet.

Both squads finished second out of thirteen teams. Raccoon

won the boys and girls meets.

Regional champions and state qualifiers on the track for the

Rockets are Dawson Linder in the 1600-meter run, Connor Brooks in the 800-meter

run, and the 1600-meter relay team of Linder, Brooks, Steven Felgenhauer, and

Patrick Wilson. Ben Alli won the shot put and SatieBre Stevenson won the girls' discus for the Rockets.

Andrew Cunningham placed second in the discus and Keagan

Johnson was second in the shot. Alaira Davis took second in the shot put for

the Lady Rockets. Emily Wade placed second in the hurdles while joining Tori

Cody, Maggie Telford, and Christian Daniels for a second place finish in the

1600-meter relay.

These athletes will return to the Salem Community High

School track on May 11 for the SIJHSAA State Meet.
