Sandoval Defeats Cisne in SIT
The Sandoval Lady Hawks easily won their first game of their
own tournament last night, running past Cisne 75-28. Sandoval opened a
double-digit lead in the first quarter and led by twenty at halftime. Kristin
Perkins led the Lady Hawks with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and five steals and was
one of four Sandoval players in double-digit scoring. Bethany Kunick had 16
points, six assists, and five steals, Kylie Parson had a double-double with
fourteen points and ten boards, and Christonia Saddler added ten points.
Sandoval will face Woodlawn Thursday night at 7:30. The Sandoval Invitational
Tournament continues tonight with Ramsey and Brownstown meeting at 6pm followed
by a game between Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School and the Mater Dei
Freshmen.
