Salem tops Bluford 12-2

The Salem Junior Legion Baseball team wrapped up the regular

season at Bluford Tuesday night, claiming a 12-2 victory in five innings.

Riley Martin had a pair of hits and drove in three runs.

Roudey Hensley had a hit and two RBIs. Dakota McDaneld added a hit and an RBI.

Sedrick Hill tossed a complete game for the win.

Prior to the second game, the coaches from both teams agreed

that the contest would last seven innings and stop it there, win, lose, or draw.

Bluford scored in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game and the final was

3-3.

Post 128 finished the regular season 23-10 with a 9-5 record

among district competition. The district tournament for Salem starts Thursday

at 5pm in Centralia. Salem’s first opponent in the district tournament is

Bluford.
