Salem Track Finishes Second at Mascoutah

The Salem Wildcats boys track team competed in the Mascoutah

Boys Invitational track meet on Friday, finishing a distant second behind the

Mt. Vernon Rams.

The Rams won the meet with 159 points followed by the

Wildcats with 99 points.

Salem dominated the field events winning the long jump, pole

vault, discus, shot put and high jump.

Cody Oller won the high jump and the long jump. Matt Hahn

set meet records in the discus and the shot put and Tyler Jourdan set a new

meet record in the pole vault. Chase Mercer was second in the long jump and

Robbie Foreman was 4th in the pole vault. Blake Evans was 5th in the discus.

On the track, Cody Oller was third in the 110 high hurdles,

Daniel Dillon placed fourth in the 300M hurdles. Brenner Webster was 4th in the

800 and the 1600.

The Wildcats return home on Tuesday before competing in the

Marion Relays at the SIUC Track next Friday.
