Baseball

 

Jeff Dunahee Realty Rays def. Molenhour Construction 8-7 in

coach pitch baseball on opening day.  The Rays scored 3 runs in the top of

the 5th to get the win. Rolen Adams, Carter Engel, Levi Young, and Rhett Runge

all had 2 hits apiece to give the Rays the win.  

 

The Lions Cardinals came back from a

9-2 deficit to defeat the Rotary Reds 11-10 in the Little League majors on

opening day.  Zachary Livesay picked up the win and Isaac Adams picked up

the save. Brennon Nix and Andrew Lybarger both had two hits for Rotary. Zachary

Livesay had two hits and two RBI and Isaac Adams had two hits, including a

3-run triple in the 3rd inning. Cade Alberson had a hit and an RBI for the

Lions Cardinals.  

 In opening day action, in the first Minor League game of the

season, the Squibb Tank Orioles defeated the Elks Angels by a score of 6-5. Carter

Rose led the Squibb Tank Orioles in hitting, going 3 for 3 with 3 Runs and an

RBI. Also adding RBI's were Dylan Brown, Clayton Koenegstein, Nathaniel Finley,

Quentin Purcell, and Carson Parrish. Kaiden Roberts was the starting pitcher

for the Squibb Tank Orioles and left the game with a 5-1 lead. Quentin Purcell

got the win for the Squibb Tank Orioles, holding off a late surge by the Elks

Angels in the top of the 4th inning. The Elks Angels were led at the plate by

Jordan Gebke, who went 2 for 2 with a Run and an RBI. Jordan Gebke also took

the loss for the Elks Angels.

Softball

In coach pitch softball, Boulder defeated Tavie Tots 14-6. Rebecca

Hays had two hits, drove in two, and scored twice for Boulder. Marissa Holland

and Jaeda Rollinson combined for six hits each had two RBIs. Holland scored

twice and Rollinson once for the winners. Brynn Metcalf was 3-for-3 with a run

and and RBI for Tavie Tots.

Radiac doubled up Jeff Dunahee Realty on opening day,

winning 18-9. Layla Word got the win for Radiac.
