Salem High Third and Centralia High Sixth At State in BowlingBoth the Salem and Centralia High School Bowling Teams placed at State. Salem finished third and Centralia sixth.
Salem Senior Dylan Plahm finished second in state as an individual. Lockport Township took first place in state. O'Fallon was second. Salem was 308 pins out of first place. The sixth place Orphans were 363 pins behind Lockport.
Plahm finished the state competition with 2,819 pins, just 105 behind state champion Shane Matejcek of Lockport Township. Salem's other scorers were Brandon Chapman who finished 33rd as an individual, Brennen Kruenegel who was 40th, Cody Donoho who was 66th and Brandon Altom who was 69th.
Centralia's top scorer was Junior Justin Sligar, who finished 37th in state. Ryan Miller was 42nd, J.T. Smith 51st, and Travis Beppler finished 57th in State.
