Salem Frosh/Soph's Perform Well....Reiter Set's New Franklin Park Record
The 4x400 relay team of Issac Morton, Sam Green, Trey Kuelman and Caden Owens placed first with a time of 3:50. Clay Irwin also won the shot put with a throw of 42'9".
Sam Green was 2nd in the high jump, Caden Owens was 2nd in the 800 meters. The 4x200 relay team of Kegan Snodsmith, Kuelman, Andrew Pojowski and Jennings Barnfield was 2nd as well as the 4x800 team of Barnfield, Andrew Barnett, Owens and Blake Quandt.
O'FALLON - The Franklin Park Track Teams competed at the O'Fallon Fulton & Carriel Meet on Tuesday afternoon and it was a record-breaking day for the Lady Bobcats.
Jenna Reiter ran the 1600 meter course in a winning time of 5:36, which was a new school record. Reiter also placed first in the 800 meter race.
Other Lady Bobcats that finished well were Lexi Sadrich who was 2nd in the discus and shot put. Olivia Daniels finished 2nd in the 7th grade 100 meters.
Matt Davis won the shot put for the Bobcats and was also 2nd in the discus. Hayden Wimberly was 2nd in both the 1600 and 800 meter runs and Ardi Seljimi was 2nd in the 8th grade 100 meters. Also finishing 2nd was the 4x100 meter relay team of Wayer, Allison, Seljimi and Firnhaber.
Salem will run at Highland later today.
