Rome to Meet Woodlawn for State Title
Rome looked like they were playing Old (and Tired) Hebroninstead of New Hebron, as the Hornets are back in the SIJHSAA Class S State
Championship Game following their 67-35 rout of New Hebron in the semifinal
game Thursday night.
Rome jumped out to a 22-7 lead in the first quarter and didn’t
look back, leading by eighteen points at halftime and 24 points after three.
Blake Wollerman led the Hornets with 19 points. Quinton
Kujawa finished with 18 points. Chandler Meyer was also in double digits with
ten points for Rome, who is now 25-4 and will face Woodlawn for the state
crown.
WJBD will have the SIJHSAA Class S title game from Rend Lake
