Rome Moves Past Trinity at State

The Rome Hornets are a step closer to a state title after their 33-22 quarterfinal win over Centralia Trinity Lutheran Monday night at the SIJHSAA Class S Tournament at Rend Lake College. Rome opened a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and held a double-digit advantage at the end of each quarter, leading to their eleven-point victory. Blake Wollerman was the only player in double figures for either team, leading the Hornets with 13 points.

Rome is 24-4 and will face New Hebron Thursday at 6pm in the semi-finals.
