Rome Claims Region Title

The Rome Hornets are headed back to the SIJHSAA Class S State Tournament following Friday night's 38-22 win over Summersville in the Region 12 Championship. Rome took a small two-point lead after the first quarter and turned it into a nine point, 24-15, lead by halftime. Summersville cut the lead to six points after the third fram but was held scoreless int he fourth quarter as Rome extended their lead. Blake Wollerman scored twelve points to lead three Rome players in double figures. Rome enters the state tourney with a 22-4 record.
