Rams Release Offensive LinemanST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Rams released offensive guard Rokevious Watkins on the eve of the first full-squad workout of training camp.
The 338-pound Watkins was a fifth-round pick last year and played in one game in his rookie season before going on injured reserve with an ankle injury. He had been suspended without pay for this year's opener for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Watkins was held out of the beginning of training camp last summer after reporting overweight.
