(CISNE) - The Midland Trail Conference Volleyball Tournament wrapped up at Cisne High School with the hosts coming out on top winning both of their matches in the championship pool.  Noble was 2nd and Woodlawn third.  Grayville beat Wayne City and North Clay to win the 4th place pool.

Cisne beat Woodlawn 20-25, 25-13, 25-19 and then knocked off Noble 25-20, 26-24 for the title.  Noble then edged Woodlawn 28-26 and 25-15.

In the fourth place pool, Grayville beat Wayne City 23-25, 25-18, 25-14 and North Clay 25-19, 25-20.  Wayne City did beat the Cardinals of North Clay to finish 5th 25-15, 25-20.

(EFFINGHAM) - The South Central Lady Cougars (22-7) moved into the championship pool of the National Trail Conference Tournament held at St Anthony High School following their 3-set victory over St Elmo 25-20, 19-25, 25-20.

Lincoln Brasel had 9 service points and Lexi Schafer added 6.  At the net Brasel finished with 9 kills and Maria Brasel added 10 assists.

The Lady Cougars will take on St Anthony tonight at 5pm and then Windsor at 6 to determine a champion.

(JACKSONVILLE) - Kaskaskia College fell in its opening match Friday night at the Lincoln Land Tournament with a 25-20, 20-25, 28-26, 25-17 loss to the host Loggers.

The Blue Angels are 22-5 heading into today's play.
