Pitch Hit and Run Saturday in Salem

Major League Baseball’s annual youth competition returns to

Salem this Saturday.

The Pitch, Hit, and Run contest will be at the Salem Little

League Complex from 1-4pm.

The Pitch, Hit, and Run program provides youngsters ages

7-14 the opportunity to participate in a competition that recognizes individual

excellence in the core baseball and softball skill areas.

Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions and the

children have a chance to advance through four levels of competition, including

Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the

2013 All-Star Game.

All participants must bring a copy of their birth

certificate and a parent or guardian must register and complete a waiver before

the competition begins.

For more information on the Pitch Hit and Run, call Jake

Purcell at 367-0807 or Larry Rubin at 918-0383.
