Patoka and CORLHS Win at WoodlawnThe Patoka Warriors are in the Woodlawn Regional semifinals after defeating Mulberry Grove last night 54-32. The Warriors opened the game with a 13-0 run after Mulberry Grove scored the first bucket of the night. Patoka led 32-11 at halftime and 40-20 heading into the fourth quarter. Jake Orrell led three Warriors in double figures with fifteen points. Johnnie Clift and Sheldan Felchlia each added ten points apiece for Patoka, who will face Christ Our Rock for the fourth time this season in the regional’s semifinal game tonight.
The Silver Stallions are 3-0 against Patoka and will look to win the most important match-up tonight after defeating Sandoval 63-33 in the Woodlawn Regional last night. Christ Our Rock ran out to a 27-14 halftime lead and put the game away in the second half to set up the fourth meeting with rival Patoka. Hayden Klockenga netted fourteen points to lead the Silver Stallions. Tyler Burmester tallied twelve for the 19-8 Stallions. Nico Rodriguez led Sandoval with ten points.
It’s a short turnaround for Patoka and Christ Our Rock, as the two teams will meet at 7:30 in the second of two semifinal games tonight at Woodlawn. South Central will face the top-seed and tourney host Woodlawn Cardinals at 6pm tonight. Woodlawn is 24-3 and ranked third in the last AP poll.
