Mascoutah Drops Salem to 2-12 Season Record

By WJBD Sports

The Salem Wildcats continue to give their opponents extra chances and again, it comes back to burn the Cats. The latest team to take advantage of Salem's mistakes was Mascoutah in a 52-38 loss Saturday night.

Salem trailed by a point after the first quarter before Mascoutah grabbed a 24-14 halftime lead.

Mascoutah's Marshall Moore and Tim Parks and Salem's Donte Rush were the only players in double figures, as they all had twelve points.

Nick Conklin and Nick Hempen each added eight points for the Cats, who fell to 2-12 on the season.

The Wildcats take on the Centralia Orphans in the first round of the Salem Invitational Tournament Thursday at 8:30pm.
