Lady Wildcats Fall to Carlyle
Paige Rakers tallied 27 points as the Carlyle Lady Indians defeated the Salem Lady Wildcats 51-36 in the first round of the Scott Credit Union Highland Girls Basketball Tournament Saturday night.The Michigan commit was held to two points in the first quarter before scoring from all parts of the floor, hittting shots from the paint, three-point range, and the free throw line.
Salem and Carlyle were tied after the first quarter before the 17-3 Lady Indians out-scored the Lady Cats in the final three quarters.
Annie Tucker led eight Salem scorers with ten points.
The 10-10 Lady Cats play Althoff in a consolation game Monday evening at 5:30. Toby Gullion and Greg Mehochko will have the broadcast on AM 1350 WJBD.
