Lady Knights to Face Hearts for Regional Crown

The Centralia 3A Girls’ Regional Championship will be

contested between the top two seeds in the tournament as Mater Dei and

Effingham defeated Centralia and Olney, respectively.

Both games were lopsided affairs as top-seed Mater Dei beat

the Centralia Annies 49-27 and two-seed Effingham ran past Olney 57-24. Jamie

Voss led the Lady Knights in their win with thirteen points. Caitlin Kaufman

led the charge for the Lady Hearts with seventeen points.

Mater Dei will meet Effingham Thursday night to determine

the regional champion. The three-point contest will also be held Thursday

night.
