Lady Cats to Face CHBC
The Salem Lady Wildcats are in action tonight in the consolationsemifinals of the Highland Girls Basketball Tournament, and they face the
Cowden Herrick-Beecher City Lady Hornets. The Lady Hornets feature 6-foot-1
senior Micah Jones, who has been a starter her entire high school career. Jones
was a first-team selection in the 2012 Highland Tournament. To shut Jones down,
Salem will look to their post players Annie Tucker and Kyla Cook. However, Tucker is making a bid of her own for
the all-tournament team, averaging 10.5 points in the tournament while also
grabbing rebounds, blocking shots, and coming away with steals. The elimination
game takes place at 5:00 tonight and will be heard on AM 1350 WJBD and WJBD
Radio.com.
