Lady Cats Knock Out Trojans

The Salem Lady Wildcats dominated their Apollo Conference game at Charleston, defeating the Lady Trojans 57-26.

Salem jumped out to a 21-5 lead in the first quarter and extended the lead to 35-14 by the mid-game break. The Lady Cats outscored the hosts 22-12 in the second half. The game was never in doubt as the visitors led wire-to-wire.

Sophomore guard Shelby Holst led all scorers with twelve points. In all, ten Salem players scored in the runaway game. Annie Tucker finished with nine points. Kyla Cook had eight for the Lady Cats, who improve to 10-9.

The JV Cats were also victorious, winning 42-25.

Salem is back in action in the Highland Tournament. They will face Carlyle on Saturday at 1:30.
