Kaskaskia Sweeps Pair from VincennesThe Kaskaskia College Blue Angels avenged their only loss of the year Wednesday night when they defeated the 20th ranked team in the nation Vincennes 86 to 65. The win improves KC to 19-1 on the year. Kaskaskia entered the national junior college ratings at number 31 earlier in the day. Kierra Graves led KC with 22 points. Chelsea Stone had 17 points, Makeba Elliott 13, and Zairra Harris added ten. The Blue Angels forced 22 turnovers during the game. KC had lost the earlier meeting between the two schools 102-79.
The Kaskaskia College Blue Devils defeated Vincennes in overtime, 81 to 72. Vincennes jumped out to a 30 to 20 first half lead, before KC surged back in the second half and the game was tied 66-66 at the end of regulation. KC was led in scoring by Jermaine Ruttley with 24 points and D'Marnier Cunningham with 19 points. Loomis Geering led Vincennes with 22 points.
Kaskaskia College returns home for a double header on Saturday. The women's game starts at one, followed by the men's contest at three.
