Blue Devils Win 2OT Thriller
The Kaskaskia College BlueDevils needed two overtimes to dispose of Wabash Valley, finally securing a
92-90 win. KC trailed by a point at halftime before ending regulation in a
63-63 tie. The first overtime session went to 78 points before the Blue Devils
claimed victory. DaQuan Boyd poured in 27 points and was one of five Blue
Devils in double figures as KC earned the hard-fought conference win.
Kaskaskia is back in action Wednesday night at John A Logan College.

Angels were out-rebounded 49-33 in a 77-69 loss to visiting Wabash Valley last
night. Kaskaskia College led at halftime and carried a 44-39 lead early in the
second half before giving the Lady Warriors too many extra opportunities on
their offensive glass. Kaskaskia sophomore Brandi Riddle had 22 points to lead
all scorers and teammate Adriana LaVern added 15, but she was held scoreless in
the second half. The Blue Angels return to action Wednesday night at John A
Logan College.
The Rend Lake College Lady Warriors
basketball team beat Southwestern Illinois College, 55-52, Monday night in Ina.
According to the National Junior College Athletic Association website at www.njcaa.org, SWIC is ranked
16th in the nation among NJCAA DI women's basketball programs. The Lady
Warriors improve to 9-5 with the win. The Warriors fell 79-62 to the Blue
Storm, following the women's game, dropping their record to 8-2 and 1-2 in the
Great Rivers Athletic Conference. Both teams will play Wednesday at
Southeastern Illinois College.
