KC Cross Country Seasons End at National MeetThe Kaskaskia College cross country teams finished up their seasons at the NJCAA National Championship meet, hosted by Iowa Central College in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
The Blue Devils finished 39th and were lead by freshman Elliott Brinkmeyer of Salem with a time of 29:45 and a 183rd-place finish. AJ Abert of Alhambra finished next for KC with his time of 29:57, and another Salem graduate, Jacob Heser, finished in 31:26.
The men's national championship was captured by Central Arizona College.
The Blue Angels finished 33rd and were lead by sophomore Laura Pick of Nashville in a time of 21:44. She was followed by Teutopolis' Emily Waldhoff in a time of 22:47. Brittany Goff of Salem was next in a time of 23:51.
Iowa Central won the women's crown.
