The Sandoval Lady Hawks traveled to Cowden Herrick last

night to face the Cowden Herrick Beecher City Lady Hornets, and lost 66-54

after a back and forth game. Sandoval trailed by five after the first quarter

but led at halftime. While the Lady Hawks battled hard, the host Lady Hornets

proved to be too much in the second half. Kristin Perkins imposed her will,

scoring 25 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Bethany Kunick tallied twelve

points and eight assists. Madison Crawford finished with eleven points. Once

again, Cowden Herrick’s success or failure depended on their post player Micah

Jones, and Jones did not disappoint, scoring 32 points. Sandoval celebrates

Senior Night Thursday when they host Webber and honor their four members of the

Class of 2013, Perkins, Crawford, Rachel Finley, and Kenzi Saatkamp.
