Franklin Park Begins Baseball/Softball Tryouts Today

SALEM - With high school football practice starting on Monday and the rest of the high school fall sports will also get going next week, the jr high sports are beginning to get started.  Franklin Park will have a new but familiar face in their dugout when tryouts get started today.  Salem High School coach Brian Lipe will once again be coaching the Bobcats after a couple of season's removed from 3 consecutive trips to the SIJHSAA State Tournament.  Lipe takes over for Marty Adams.  Baseball and softball tryouts for this coming school year will start today and go through Friday from 5-7 at the Franklin Park Fields.

    Cross Country practice for interested 5th thru 8th graders will take place shortly following the start of the school year.  All athletes must have a current sports physical in order to participate.  Physical forms are now available for download on the Franklin Park website.
