Former Salem Coach To Take The Reigns At SC For This SeasonSALEM - Former Salem head volleyball coach Sherry Hargis wasn't off the sideline very long at all.
After resigning her position as coach of the Lady Wildcats after last season, Hargis will take the reigns for at least one season at South Central in place of long time Hall of Fame coach Mary Brimberry who has to step away for the season.
Hargis explained that Brimberry was one of the first coaches she bonded with when she became the Salem coach and Brimberry's teams have been coming to Salem's summer league since it's inception over a dozen years ago.
Hargis is very excited to take over a talented group of girls and will try her hand at the 1A level after many years with the larger school. Hargis will still remain a teacher at Salem High School.
SC will open up with St Anthony in 2 weeks for their opener.
