Christ Our Rock Wins Volley For A Cure Match...SC Falls At Windsor

(CENTRALIA) - The Christ Our Rock Silver Stallions hosted North Clay High School for their annual Volley for a Cure match for Cancer Awareness.  The Stallions came out on top remaining unbeaten on the season at 15-0 with their 25-12, 25-17 victory.

Prior to the game, the Social Club decorated the school and gym for the event.  The Student Leadership Team sold t-shirts and in honor tags.  Pink roses were given out to cancer survivors that were present at the game.  Also mini pink volleyballs were thrown out to the crowd by players from both teams. 

The game ball was even signed by all the players and coaches and auctioned off to the highest bidder at the close of the game.  That was Jerry Rakers.

As for the game, Caitlin Fuehne did the job at the service line going for 21 points and 3 aces.  At the net it was Amanda Geiger's night again as she had 9 kills, 3 blocks for points and 2 assists. 

The COR Stallions JV improved to 13-2 with their 3 set victory.


(WINDSOR) - The South Central Lady Cougars (19-6, 7-2) dropped just their 2nd National Trail Conference match of the season losing on the road at Windsor 25-20, 17-25, 22-25.

Lexi Schafer had 9 points to lead the Cougars at the service line with Natalie Chapman adding 7 points.  Kallie Garrett and Lincoln Brasel combined for 15 kills while Taylor Keen and Maria Brasel each had 10 assists. 

The Lady Cougars JV improved to 12-0 with their 3-set win.
