Centralia Orphans Take 5th In Own Tournament
The Orphans led 23-14 at halftime and continued the offensive onslaught with 21 points in the third quarter. As a team, Centralia shot 64.5% from the field and was 7-of-13 from three-point range. Jerod Simmons-Young had the hot hand on the night and led all scorers with 23 points. Jake Wood contributed another 13 points for the victorious Orphans. Simmons-Young averaged 14.5 points per game for the tournament and Wood had 12.5 points per game.
Clark Williamson had 13 points for Effingham has many players were used to try to find a successful combination.
