Centralia Orphans Pick Up Senior Night Win Over Carbondale

The Centralia Orphans celebrated senior night with a 52-36 win over Carbondale in South Seven play Friday night.  

The Orphans were led by Jerod Simmons-Young with 19 points.  Two other Orphans also finished in double figures.   Chase Alcorn had 13 points and Jake Wood had ten points, all in the second half.  

The Orphans led by only two points, 14-12, at the end of the first quarter, but then outscored Carbondale 18 to six in the second quarter to take a 32 to 18 lead at the end of the first half.  

Carbondale was led by Shamarc Bursey with 11 points.  

Centralia improves to 19-7 with the win and 6-3 in the South Seven.  Carbondale falls to 16-7 and 3-6 in the South Seven.
