Bobcats Split Action at GreenvilleThe Franklin Park Bobcats traveled to the Greenville Round Robin and split games with Mascoutah and the hosts.
Kaden Wayer pitched five innings in a 13-3 win over Mascoutah in the opener. Wayer allowed one hit while striking out two Mascoutah batters. Matt Davis, Eric Brubaker, and Jacob Harness all had two hits apiece for the Bobcats, while Wayer and Trevor Banning each added a hit.
But the hits weren’t coming in the second game, a 3-0 loss to Greenville. The Bobcats had only three hits for the game and left several runners stranded in scoring position. Max Phillips suffered the loss for Franklin Park despite pitching six strong innings. Phillips gave up three hits and struck out three. Phillips, Wayer, and Lucas Tobin had the hits for the Bobcats.
Franklin Park is now 2-3 and travels to Effingham today for a 4pm game.
