Blackhawks Tickets On Sale Today

CHICAGO (AP) - Hockey fans can begin buying single-game tickets to watch the Chicago Blackhawks play next season.

The Stanley Cup champions say sales for home games at the United Center will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.

The team is set to open the season Oct. 1 when they play the Washington Capitals. It'll be the first time since 2005 that the team will play their season opener on home ice.

The Blackhawks are set to play 41 home games during the 2013-2014 season, including 24 on weekends.

The upcoming schedule includes three separate four-game homestands.

Last year, the Blackhawks set an NHL record for best start to a season without a regulation loss. They went 21-0-3 before their first loss in the 25th game of the 48-game lockout-shortened regular season.
