Belleville East Beats Centralia To Claim First Ever Centralia Thanksgiving Tournament; Odin Takes Third In Ramsey-Mulberry Grove Tournament
Centralia was led by Jake Wood with 15 points and Jerod Simmons-Young with ten points. Both Wood and Chase Alcorn made the All-Tournament Team. The Most Valuable Player of the Tournament was Malcom Hill of Belleville East.
In other games at the Centralia Thanksgiving Tournament, Mahomet-Seymour beat Jerseyville 59 to 52. Both teams entered the final game of the tournament winless. Earlier in the day, Mascoutah beat Mahomet Seymore 56-51 and Belleville East beat Jerseyville 66 to 52.
Centralia, 3-1 following the season opening tournament, starts regular season play at Mt. Vernon Friday night.
At the Ramsey-Mulberry Grove Tournament, Odin beat Patoka 55 to 43 to claim third place. Odin was led by Devin Williams with 19 points. Austin Perkins, with 15, and Dustin Quick, with 10, als finished in double figures for Odin. Patoka was led by Jake Orrell with 22 and Johnnie Clift with 12 points.
