Wamac Man Given Probation for Head-Butting Police Officer and Theft

A Wamac man has been sentenced to probation in Marion County Court for head-butting a police officer and for theft.  24-year-old Steven Meyers pleaded guilty to three-counts of theft and one-count of aggravated battery.  Between September 2012 and October 2012, Meyers stole air conditioning units from residential areas and from the Macedonia Baptist Church.  On October 5th, 2012 while being arrested, he head-butted Centralia Police Officer Billy White in the face.  He was sentenced to four-years of probations, 96-days in the Marion County Jail with credit for time served, and ordered to pay court costs.
