Wamac Man Faces Aggravated Battery Charge Following Stabbing

A 32-year-old Centralia man has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a Tuesday stabbing incident.  Justin Kerr of Dean Street is accused of causing bodily harm to Brandon Meyer of the same address when he cut him on the shoulder with a knife.  Centralia Police say Meyer had pulled the knife out of his back pocket and began swinging it during a disagreement with Kerr on Tuesday.  At one point, Kerr had allegedly put the knife to Meyer's throat.  Meyer sustained cuts to his arm, but did not require hospital treatment.  Bond has not yet been set in the case.
