UMCH Festival of Trees and Live Nativity to Kickoff December 7th
This year's "Festival of Trees" will include over thirty trees, with decorations hand-made by area elementary schools, churches, and other organizations. For the first time, the Sunday school class at Salem Free Will Baptist Church in Bluford will have a tree in the event. Each tree has it's own theme. Visitors are also asked to stop by and see the live nativity, featuring live actors, animals, hot chocolate and Christmas music in an outdoor setting.
Trees donated by classrooms are entered to win “Best Decorated Tree” and a pizza party. Visitors will be able to cast a vote for one-dollar for their favorite tree. There will be a winner chosen for each tree at the end of the night. A “Best in School” award will be given for schools that have more than one tree entered in the contest.
UMCH is asking for any organization, business, church, or classroom interesting in donating a decorated tree to contact Marcus Holland 618-242-1070 ext 234 or email@example.com.
