Two Vehicle Crash On West Main in Salem Results in One InjuryA 29-year-old rural Stewartson man was injured and later arrested on an outstanding warrant following a two vehicle crash on West Main at Kinney Boulevard on the west side of Salem late Saturday morning.
Salem Police say Cameron Beitz was traveling eastbound on Main Street when a pickup truck driven by 65-year-old Robert Ray Smith of Franklin Street in Salem make a left turn from Kinney Boulevard in front of him. Police say Smith apparently ran a red light.
Beitz was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries. When he was released, Beitz was arrested on an outstanding Cumberland County warrant for failure to appear on a possession of cannabis charge. He was taken to the Marion County Jail where he was released after posting $250 bond.
Smith was not injured. He was ticketed for failure to yield at an intersection.
The crash occurred at 11:16 Saturday morning.
