Two Salem Men Caught Allegedly Burglarizing Former Selmaville North SchoolTwo Salem men have been charged in Marion County Court with burglary to the former Selmaville North School building on U.S. 50 at the Selmaville Road.
Salem Police say 22-year-old Dustin Blandford of West Allmon and 43-year-old Christopher Sanders of Briarwood Drive in Salem were both arrested when located in the school during the noon hour on Thursday. Police had responded to the building to investigate a suspicious person complaint. The two had allegedly entered through an unlocked door and were stealing copper wiring. Police report some of the copper wiring was recovered.
Both had bond set at $10,000 and had the public defender appointed to represent them.
The former school building is now owned by Laverne Schaefer.
