Two People Injured in Fayette County Crash Wednesday

By Will Doolin, WJBD News

Two people were injured following a rear-end collision in Fayette County Wednesday evening. The crash occurred on U.S. 40 westbound east of County Road 1750 East two miles east of Brownstown.

27-year-old Trevor Willms of Brownstown was traveling westbound on U.S. Route 40 and slowed down to allow another vehicle ahead of him to turn into a residence. 17-year-old Abby Klitzing of Altamont was also traveling westbound on U.S. Route 40 when she failed to slow down and rear-ended Willms. A passenger in Klitzing's car, four-year-old Khloe Enlow, was treated on scene with minor injuries. Willms was transported to St. Anthony's Hospital with minor injuries.

Klitzing was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The crash occurred at 6:13 Wednesday evening.
