Two Juveniles Arrested for Rural Salem Vehicle Burglaries

The Marion County Sheriff's Department has made two arrests in connection with three Christmas Eve vehicle burglaries southeast of Salem.

Two 15-year-old rural Salem juvenile boys were released to the custody of their parents pending further court action.  Some of the items taken from the vehicles were recovered.  A tip to the sheriff's department led to the two juveniles.

The burglaries were reported by Joanne Jeffords of Countryview Road, Terry Hearn of Country View Place and Megan Taylor of Cross Road in rural Salem.  Both Jeffords and Taylor reported their purses stolen, while Hearn could find nothing missing from his vehicle.
