Two Injured in Crash at Sixth and Sycamore in Centralia
Centralia Police say a car driven by 62-year-old Paulette Dersch of Myers Road in Walnut Hill was traveling westbound on Sixth and failed to yield to a southbound pickup truck on Sycamore Street driven by Kelcie Pitts of East 10th Street in Centralia. Pitts hit the side of Dersch's car.
Both Pitts and a passenger in her vehicle, 17-year-old Akeyla Wesley of North Everette in Odin, were taken to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of injuries. Dersch was ticketed for failure to yield at a yield intersection.
The wreck occurred at 4:45 Wednesday afternoon.
