Two Face New Felony Drug Charges In Marion County Court

By Bruce Kropp

Two people face new felony drug charges in Marion County Court.

Bond has been set at $10,000 for 27-year-old Michelle Williams of Main Street in Mt. Vernon after she was charged with possession of less than 15 grams of cocaine and driving under the influence of drugs.  She was arrested by State Police following a traffic stop in Centralia Thursday night.

Bond has been set at $7,500 for 24-year-old Demetrice Lockett of North Elm in Centralia for unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis and resisting a peace officer.  Lockett was allegedly found in possession of the cannabis after running from Centralia Police who had originally stopped to ask him about being out after curfew on Marion County Housing Authority property.

Both had the public defender appointed to represent them.
