Two Face New Charges in Marion County CourtA 29-year-old Wamac man had bond set at $50,000 after being formally charged in Marion County Court with felony retail theft. Christopher Owens of Sanders Street is accused of taking knives and video games from the Salem Walmart valued at over $300. Owens apparently had gone to the store after entering guilty to another charge in Marion County Court on Monday. He had been placed on one year court supervision and fined $100 and cost for driving on a suspended license in the just completed case.
A 61-year-old Centralia man had bond set at $5,00 after being charged with criminal trespass to real property. Donald Paproth of South Walnut entered a residence on East 13th where he was prohibited from having contact.
Both Sanders and Paproth will be represented by the public defender.
