Two Charged and One Pleads Guilty in Marion County CourtBond has been set at $100,000 for a 54-year-old Centralia man who has been formally charged in Marion County Court with aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery. Samuel Burr of South Pine is accused of strangling Ruth Ann Malcolm as well as pulling her hair, striking herin the head with his fist and dragging her across the ground. If released on bond, Burr was ordered to have no contact with Malcolm and abstain with testing for alcohol and drugs. The public defender was appointed to represent him.
Bond was set at $10,000 for a 29-year-old Salem woman who has been charged with possession of under 15 grams of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and retail theft. Lindsay Holsapple of WillowPlace was initially arrested for retail theft at the Salem Wal-mart store. During the arrest process, Holsapple was allegedly found in possession of heroin, hypodermic needles and spoons.
A 28-year-old Centralia man has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to domestic battery and escape charges. Justin Koerber of South Elm admitted to striking Cierra Koerber in the arm with a chair and running from a Centralia Police officer who was attempting to take him into custody. Koerber was placed on two years probation, fined $100, given credit for 13 days served in jail, ordered to forfeit his FOID card, and undergo PAVE violence counseling and a mental health evaluation. The incident occurred on June 21st.
