Two Centralia Men Headed To Prison on Drug Convictions

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

Two Centralia men have been sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty in Marion County Court to drug charges.

24-year-old Victor Jenkins of Davis Street pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance.  A second count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia was dropped.  The sentence will be served concurrently with a two year prison term handed down in October after his probation was revoked on a felony theft conviction.

30-year-old Dustin Meseke of South Irvington also pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Both men admitted having possession of the controlled substance Alprazolan without a prescription.
