Two Arrested for Centralia Home Invasion, Third Being Sought

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

Centralia Police have arrested two and have identified a third person being sought in connection with a Monday afternoon home invasion.

Police say Joshua Wood of the 300 block of West McCord Street discovered two men in his bedroom attempting to take his x-box. After asking them, 'are you serious?' the two allegedly took off running.

17-year-old Asante Poore of South Pine and 18-year-old Rashad Campbell of East McCord in Centralia were both arrested by police after they set up a perimeter in the area after spotting the two running from the area of the Wood home. The two were eventually apprehended.

Wood identified Poore and 17-year-old D'shawn Duncan of Centralia as the two who were in his residence. Police believe Campbell served as a lookout outside the residence. Duncan has not been located and is currently being sought for police in connection with the home invasion as well as three other recent incidents. They include the theft of $200 from a Central City woman who gave him a ride, burglary and theft of a gun from another residence, and battery for an altercation that had occurred outside the Poplar Place.

Police say Wood attempted to chase the two down himself, but tripped and fell causing some minor injuries to his leg. Wood later determined $1,200 had also been removed from his wallet that was in his bedroom.

Meanwhile, police do not believe the three men are involved in another recent home invasion on North Walnut Street where three armed men entered a home and took some broken BB guns from the wall.
