Three Teens Accused as Adults in Shooting DeathEDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) - Three teenagers are accused as adults in the shooting death of a 54-year-old man in southwestern Illinois' Granite City. Prosecutors in Madison County charged 16-year-old Brian Taylor and 15-year-olds Markeith Reynolds Jr. and Shawn Russell with first-degree murder. All of them are from Madison. A fourth teenager is being prosecuted in juvenile court because he's younger than 15.
The four are suspected in last Thursday night's killing of Charles Weiss. Police say Weiss was shot in an alley and told officers "they tried to rob me" before he died of his injuries. Friends say Weiss was walking home from a nearby convenience store when he was shot. Online court records do not show whether Taylor, Reynolds or Russell have attorneys. They do not have listed home telephone numbers.
