Three Enter Guilty Pleas in Marion County CourtA 28-year-old Odin woman has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to a charge of unlawful possession of five to 15 grams of methamphetamine. Ann Mays, also known as Ann Burgess of South Wood, was placed on two years probation and court costs. A charge of participation in meth manufacturing was dropped as part of the plea.
A 22-year-old Kinmundy man has entered a guilty plea to aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. Justin Armstrong of Jones Road admitted speeding in excess of over 21 miles an hour in attempt to get away from a Kinmundy Police Officer. He was placed on three years probation and ordered to pay court costs.
22-year-old Jeffrey Tate of Salem Mobile Home Park pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of battery. He admitted grabbing Shantel January around her neck and shoving her against the wall. Tate was placed on one year probation and ordered to forfeit his bond as cost. The charge was reduced from domestic battery.
