Thanksgiving Service Monday Night, Blood Drive Monday and Tuesday

This year's Salem Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1000 West Boone Street in Salem at seven Monday night. The speaker will be Rev. Jeremy Martin, pastor of the Salem Free Methodist Church. The offering will be taken for the Salem Food Pantry. The service is sponsored by the Salem Ministerial Alliance. The American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive at Kaskaskia College Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The blood drive will be a challenge between KC and Rend Lake College. The Cosmetology Club will be serving as the volunteer club. The KC Culinary Club will be providing food for the event and there will be giveaways for every donor. The American Red Cross will be present each donor with a scratch-off card to win a variety of prizes, which includes ringtones, music downloads, first aid kits, visors and personalized phone skins.
