Storm Spotter Class Scheduled in Salem Thursday Night
Meteorologist Mark Britt from Patoka will conduct the class that will qualify those attending to become National Weather Service spotters. However, Salem Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Terry Mulvaney says you can attend without obligation to be a spotter. He reports the class will cover cloud formations and how to spot severe weather.
There is no cost to attend. It begins at 6:30 Thursday night at the Marion County Fair Exhibit building.
