State Government Retirees To Start Paying Health Insurance Costs Monday
6/29/2013 @ 9:33 PM(Springfield, IL) -- State government retirees will start paying premiums for their state health insurance beginning on Monday. However, the money will be left untouched in a new state account. A judge made the ruling Thursday. A lawsuit had asked that the money be held in escrow until the state Supreme Court figures out if health insurance premiums are an unconstitutional diminishment of pension benefits.
