Southeastern Illinois Man Arrested for Barricading Himself and Kids Inside Home
11/26/2012 @ 12:06 PMMount Carmel, IL -- A man in southeastern Illinois is in custody after he barricades himself inside a home and refuses to let two children leave. Police in Mount Carmel in Wabash County arrested Christopher Cash late Saturday night. He allegedly pushed his girlfriend out of her home and refused to turn over her kids. A 12-hour standoff ensued before an Illinois State Police Tactical Response team negotiated with Cash to relinquish the kids and give up. No one was injured.
